YAMIT E.L.I.'s Sugar Liquid Filter Systems consist of one or more self-cleaning liquid filters mounted in parallel on a manifold pipe frame and controlled by a PLC Controller.
Sugar liquid enters the filter through an inlet and passes through a coarse screen that functions as a "first stop" for rough particles. The liquid then reaches a fine screen with further purifies the flow by separating out smaller particles. As more syrup flows through impurities are allowed to build up on the fine screen.
"Thin" sugar juice or hot water is used a backwash medium. The sugar juice enters the main inlet header and flows through the filters into the main outlet header. Backwashing is initiated by a signal from the DP monitor which has been set at a pre-determined level.
